Hi everyone on Abruzzolink!! I'm starting a club for the descendants of the Town of Prezza. I was just there last week, and I got a lot of information from the townspeople, but I'd Like some interesting history, bizarre stories, Pictures of the town @ the turn of the century,or anything else which may be of Interest to me. My dad, Rodolfo Sandonato was born in Prezza in 1944 and my Mom was born in Pettorano Sul Gizio. Her Name is Anna Crugnale. (If any of you kind people out there have anything on Pettorano as well, let me know) I'd like to go back as soon as I can. (As soon as I finish my Italian Intensive course!!!) My grandparents (on both sides of the family) are from Abruzzi. My father's parents came from Salle and my mother's parents came from Vinchiaturo. I have been there (Salle) for a visit about 20 years ago, and it was a wonderful experience to walk the roads that they walked!

I'm researching my grandparents , my grandfather's name is Bernardo Saporito and he came to the USA in Oct.17,1897,He came in at New York, I beleive he came with a married sister are a cousin the other name I found with him was Mangano , my grandfather was born 19th of July, 1880, in Corlone,Palermo, Sicily, Italy , we never knew anything about his life and am looking for family that can help me put this family history together, my grandmother's name is Maria Cortimiglia , she came to the USA some time in 1902 as she and my grandfather married in Jan. 21,1903,sshe came in at New Orleans, Louisiana, all I know about her is she has one brother and his name is Salvatore, both also came from Corleone, Palermo, Sicily, Italy too. if you can help me please speak in engish , my e-mail address is pats@ballistic.com
