I am searching for my grandfather's village. Although the spelling may be incorrect, I am told the village is Pecso Santonisco, in the mountains, about 75 miles from Rome near Teramo. This was told to me by Mary Nemi who came to the U.S. with my grandfather. His name was Sabatino Luciano and my grandmother was Dominique Orsini Luciano. I cannot see the village anywhere on the maps I have. I would like to visit or possibly write or e-mail someone there, but need a place to start.

My mother was born was baptised at the Cattedrele Basilica di S. Panfilo January 2, 1910. The church baptisimal book dated 1 Gemiacio 1901, page 582. Her fathers name was Giovani d'Este and her mothers name was Paolina Ventresca. I would appreciate any information you could give me concerning either d'Este or Ventresca.
