Greetings to everyone. My father was born in the town of Colledimezzo, which I remember from visits as a young boy. Most of my family is still there, but it never ceases to amaze me how many Colledimezzesi and Abruzzese live in the States. Sometimes I think there are as many of us abroad as there are at home! The formidable task of keeping track of paisani is nobly undertaken by some cousins of mine, who had been printing an occasional newsletter called "Tenemmz Gundatt" (translation: let's keep in touch, in the Abruzzi dialect). It gives a short history of Colledimezzo, and of my family and related families. These folks also used to have an annual reunion in Westchester County, New York, around the second week of March. Not sure if they still do, but I hope so, as I'd like to go again. Hundreds of us showed each of the years I went, about ten years ago.
