Both my parents ( Aurelio Cicchini & Anna Maria Natale) were born in Villamagna Prov. Chieti. My paternal gandfather's property was situated on the border of the adjoining village, Ripa Teatina. Consequently my family has a connection with both towns. My father emigrated to Australia in 1952 to follow his brother Tomasso who had left Italy the previous year. Tomasso eventually settled in Brisbane. My father who settled in Perth was joined by my mother in 1955. My father's brother Leonello and his sister Nice also live in Perth. Another of my father's brothers Umberto also came to Australia.He lives in Brisbane. My father has a brother and two sisters who continue to reside in Villamagna. Some of my relatives emanating from my paternal grandmother's line (nee Masci ) currently reside in Melbourne. Their family ( Di Lizio) originate from Ripa Teatina. My maternal relatives ( Natale) reside in Syracuse (N.Y.), New York, Caracas Venezuela as well as Pescara . My wife Anna (nee Serra) also originates from RipaTeatina. Both my wife and I were born in Australia. Iwould appreciate receiving email from anyone who may be related or has some connection with the towns or families mentioned.

My father believes his father was from this region. His full name we think was Ettore Arturo Ercole Guidobaldi, he may have left behind a brother. He had sisters who also came to America, Carolina and Josephine are two of them. My father says that he came here and stayed a short time, went back to Italy for World War I and then returned here. He ended up in the Philadelphia Pennsylvania area. He worked as a taylor, although my father thinks he may have been training for some type of job in the court system before he left Italy. I desparately want to know more about him. If anyone can help, please contact me. Thanks so much!!!
