My mother is from the small mountain town of Schiavi d'Abruzzo. She came here as a little girl and always remembered her grandmother who was left behind. Her surname was Sforza (understand from the royal line of Sforza. If anyone has heard of that family name or the maiden name of my grandmother, Del Vecchio, in that region, please let me know.

Karl Heinrich Ulrichs, a german scientist, died 1895 in LAquila. He was burried on the cemetary of LAquila near the chappel of the Persichetti-Family. The grave still exist, I saw it in summer 1996. He was an editor of a magazin called Alaudae in Latin speach. Niccolo Persichetti, marchese die Castelcolbuccolo (1849-1915), was a mentor of Ulrichs, because he was interestet on angient history too. Ulrichs was a poor man and so he became a private teacher of Niccolos son Edoardo. In 1909 Magnus Hirschfeld, a german medical doctor, visit Niccolo Persichetti in L`Aquila and he shows him a small fotograpphy, showing Ulrichs as an old man with a black cap with the persichetti-familiy. Nicolo Persichetti had 1909 also books and papers from the estate of Ulrichs. Is it possible, that fotographies, books or unpublished papers still exist in a archiv or on the descentands of Niccolo Persichetti?
