My parents are Nicola & Vittoria. My mother's maiden name is Prioriello. My uncle Michelle lives in Toronto with us. Recently I have been around and have been told that I resemble someone they know. I have talked to a Parente family in Vancouver British Columbia and one in San Diego California who appairently moved from Chicago. My family is from Bojano (Campobasso) so if any one is a Parente or has any knowledge of us please send us a word or two. Grazie & chow.

I was born in Brooklyn, NY, and reside in Staten Island. My paternal grandfather, Rocco D'Angelis was born in Castel di Ieri in 1894. I never met him. He was the son of Marco and Anna. He came to the U.S. in 1910 or 1911, and served in the U.S. Army in WW I, where his name was changed to DeAngelo. He returned to Castel di Ieri after the war, where he met and married Anna DiGiovanni, and they returned to the U.S. and had six children. Her parents were Augustino and Agatha (DiGirondo).They originally settled in the Pittsburgh area, then moved to Brooklyn in the late 1920's. I just finished reading 'La Storia', and learned of the DiBerardini Bank. Given my grandfather's origin, the dates, and his destination, I'm guessing that he may have come that way. Can anyone give me guidance on this? I'm trying to trace my ancestors.

Finally figured this out! Sorry, but it must be in English. I hope to learn Italian better. I'm trying to fill in the gaps in my family tree. My father was Eugene DiMillo (taglia taglia)from Roccamorice. His brothers were Umberto and ? Sisters were Pasquarosa and ? My mother was a Toppi from Lettomanoppello. She is alive and well at 93.
