I was born in upstate New York near Albany. My parents & grandparents emmigrated from Abbruzzo in the 1950's. My father's family is from Roccamorice, in the province of Pescara. My mother's family (Ceccomancini's) is from Scafa & S.Valentino, also in the province of Pescara. I've been to both towns on several occasions in the past few years and would be delighted to hear from anyone with similar roots or surnames.

I have visited the birth place of my grandparents and am Interested in talking with anyone who is familliar with Nocciano in Abruzzi.I also noticed in any earlier posting that Rudy Salci was born there and would like to find him.If anyone is familiar with Nocciano or know how I can find Rudy I would like to here from them.

Are there any English or Italian sources of family lineage for Teramo? I would appreciate any help you might give me. My Grandfather emigrated to Philadelphia, Pa (USA) in 1917 (Emidio Furia(o)). He married my Grandmother (Maria DiGuilia) in the church in Teramo in 1925. They both resided in Penns Grove, New Jersey until there deaths. Thank You for your help.

I was born there in a very small town called Santo Stefano di Sessanio. It is about 1/2 an hour's drive from L'Aquila. I left there when I was five with my family and we emigrated to Canada. Since I still have quite a few realtives there, I try and visit often. I recommend a trip to anyone from Abruzzi or who has ties to this area
