I will travel to Chieti, Pescara, and surrounding area in april. Can any on give me any info on the area, hotels, points of interest, etc. My parents are from there but migrated to America as children in the very early 1900s. My grandfather came to America about 90 years ago. His name was Giovanni de Federicis, and the envelope that I have from the courthouse is from Montorio al Vomano. I would like to visit Italy, but would like to contact relatives that are still there. I know that he left at least one brother. I want to know more about my Italian family! Anyone that can help me, please e-mail me. They changed my grandfather's last name to Frederick when he came through Ellis Island, NY. His sister's name was Clara, and she came here too. I believe his brother's name may have been Alexandro de Federicis. Thank you for your help.
