If there are any DiGiacomandrea or Franceschilli relatives, let's correspond. My grandparents, Giovanni DiGiacomandrea and his wife Maria Franceschilli, emigrated from Popoli to port of New York in 1912-1913, then settled in Boston (Watertown), Massachusetts. I visited Popoli, small village west of Pescara, in 1988 and found cousins on the Franceschilli side of my famiy who gather in Popoli in August. I was told my DiGiacomandrea name is very rare, and only appears to be found in Popoli area. I understand that my grandfather also brought two DiGiacomandrea brothers with him 1912, first names of Nick and Nunzio (Naluce?) possibly. Also, they brought their mother, but I don't know her first name. Some of my relatives are buried in the cemetary in Watertown - the St. Patrick's Cemetary. I would like to learn as much as possible about Abruzzo and Villa Santa Maria. My grandparents, Ulderico Salvatore and Maria Biaze Canecchia were born and married here. They left in 1096 with their first child, Anna Domenica, to come to the USA. I would love to find relativies which I am sure are still here in Villa Santa Maria. Until I do I would love to become more familiar with the area in any way I can.

My father was born on the island of Tremiti in 1899 along with my aunt.Before that my greatgrandfather was born in Vasto where he married my great grandmother Angela D'Angela born 1824 died 1902.The family came to America somtime in the late 1800's landing in N.Y. where they stayed.I am very interested in finding any family i have or any information about my great grand parents Luigi Ragni Angela D'Angela Isola de Tremiti e Vasto
