My grandmother Nicolina Cherubini emigrated to Minto New Brunswick Canada in the early 1900s with her mother Maria. Her father Angelo had come a few years before. They also lived in Cape Breton for a few years - before returning to Minto where the coal mines were active. My grandfather Domenico DiCarlo came in 1912, arriving I believe in New York, then moving through Pennsylvania and eventually to the coal mines of Minto in 1914 or so. Many, many people from Intermesoli came to Minto and many stayed with or visited with my grandparents before moving on. Perhaps the connection between Intermesoli and Minto could be documented somewhat so that our future generations will know their roots. I have been to Intermesoli 3 times, twice with my grandfather. It is the most beautiful village, with wonderful people. And most of the people of Intermesoli know of Minto - though perhaps there are fewer as the years go on. But it would be nice to have some links over the internet with each other - all being friends and fam

Camillo Fantini was my great grandfather. His wife died in Fossacesia and their little daughter's name was Maria Domenica Fantini (my grandmother). Camillo, the little girl's father left his little girl in Italy with aunts and uncles and emigrated to the United States (in early 1900's) and settled near Washington (I don't know if it's the state or the city). I was told that he married and had another family in the States. Camillo's daughter grew up and married Vincenzo Polsoni in Fossacesia. One of their sons is my father, Nicola Polsoni. Both my father Nicola and I would like to locate any of Camillo's children or grandchildren. We are very curious about this branch of our family. My father, Nicola Polsoni married Valentina Festoso and had two children, myself (Luciana) and my brother, Vincenzo. If anyone knows anything about Camillo Fantini's family in the States, please email me at : desilu@sentex.net
