My maternal grandparents come from Collelongo, Abruzzo, which is south of Avezzano. I travel there each year, and visit with my many cousins. I was able to easily trace my family because of the unusual last name of Guanciale. I love Abruzzo, especially the province of L'Aquila, and would enjoy hearing from other Abruzzesi, and about their adventures in finding relatives there. I'd also like to hear from anyone living in Abruzzo

Both of my paternal grandparents were form Castel di Sangro; Anthony DiCarlo and Maria Lagone. Unfortunately, as time passes we are loosing all those who have information or have ever had contact with our relatives in Castel. My Wife (Linda Persiani) and I are hoping to take a trip to Italy this fall and because of the short time available, will be restricting our travels to Castel di Sangro and to the birth place of my maternal grandparents (Enrico Marconi and Antonia Sebastiani) as well as her maternal and paternal families - San Benadetto in La Marche. We would truly love to here from anyone who is familiar with the city of Castel di Sangro and especially the DiCarlo & Lagone families.

I was born in Pescara to Dante Melotti who was from Pescara and Giannina D'Angelo who was from Montebello. Most of my aunts and uncles still live in the province of Pescara. I am presently living in Singapore . I get to travel to Pescara almost every year if for a short while only. I would be interested in hearing from anyone from anywhere who either know of our famalies. All other people who share a love for our beautiful region and our country are also welcome.
